Travelling Exhibiton in Turkey!


 The travelling exhibition took place in Istanbul- Turkey for  7 seven days in the campus of Boğaziçi University which is one of the most prominent universities in Turkey. It was held in the South Campus Özger Arnas Hall and was opened with a big ceremony to the students of the Universty first of all. Then the aims of the Project was explained to the people. Also this exhibition was unified with the photos of the Bogaziçi Universty Photograph Club.  The traveling exhibit brought by 12 youth organisations, as a concrete result of a training course held in Barcelona, Spain from 02-09 September 2012.

With the team effort of a diverse group of young people, this exhibit aims to show young people´s view of peace, conflict and violence through their creative pieces and works.

This exhibit is a collective work of young people, using photography as a means of expression of the concepts related to peace-building. The same photos will travel around 12 countries – Armenia (Yerevan), Croatia (Zagreb), Egypt (Cairo), Georgia (Tbilisi), Greece (Thessaloniki), Hungary (Kaposvar and Budapest), Macedonia (Prilep), Morocco, Spain (Barcelona), The Netherlands, Turkey (Istanbul), Ukraine (Lviv).This exhibit will travel around these countries for the duration of 6 months, and is expected to reach approximately 21.750 and 3,800 youth and adults – as direct and indirect beneficiaries.

Travelling Exhibition in Armenia!


“360 Peace in Media” Exhibition in Gyumri, Armenia
The travelling  exhibition “360 Peace in Media” took place in Gyumri, the second city of Armenia. It was held in “ Style Gallery” , one of the most famous art galleries of the city. About thirty young people visited the exhibition on the first day. The following days from two hundred to four hundred students and schoolchildren visited the exhibition. The exhibition is open for seven days.
The exhibition started with the presentation of the project “360 Peace in Media”.
The role of the media in conflict and peace, raised and analyzed during the project, were put forward for the discussion in Gyumri Exhibition as well. The discussion was organized in order to stir visitors’ interest, help them to understand the project participants’ ideas that are expressed in the photos and penetrate into the depth of the concepts.
And, indeed, the visitors became deeply interested in the photos. They expressed viewpoints that the photos were very profound: the symbols and expressions, that are used to transmit the ideas, are really touching and shout out loud.
