Important!! Dear participants,
Before coming to the training please make sure that you provide all the materials below;
For Case Based Presentations
1: Peace building research: Make a brief research regarding peace building campaigns in your country. Bring some postcards, posters, short videos/clips/adds, news from your country that may show how photo and video are used for peace building campaigns and for addressing conflict situations in your country bu using media tools.
We will make a workshop about this as a photography session. Each country will present these materials mentioned above and talk about it. ( This will show how media tools ( photo- video) reflect the real agenda of the society).
2: Please bring some photo samples from your own local newspapers or magazines , that show the stereotypes and conflicts you think in your country. Then we will talk about how we can eliminate these stereotypes using vice versa methods of photography. ( violence to women, stereotypes as to gender, sexist attitudes, racism and ethnic differences etc.)
3: Bring something from your home (food, drinks, songs…)
related with your culture/country that you are happy to share with the other participants: during the intercultural night, you are going to use it in order to prepare a short performance about stereotypes of your country. Please don’t use power point presentation, try to be creative :)
